Report virtual tour Latvian home factories
The building capacity is one of the constraints for speeding up the production of affordable houses in the Netherlands. We went on a virtual tour to three Latvian home factories to see what they have to offer. Can these factories produce homes that comply with the Dutch standards and of course, what are the costs?
All three factories export their homes to European countries. Most of them go to Scandinavia. Most projects are designed by the architects of customers and the main material used is timber. All three can build modular so most of the work can be done off-site. References can be found on the company websites. See the hyperlinks below. Price indications vary from 900 euro up to 1.300 euro per square meter excluding VAT and excluding the cost for transportation. De exact costs of course depend on the requirements.
